Casper the friendly staffie ❤

❤️ UPDATE ❤️  Yayyyyy, my favourite boy has finally found a home after 9 months in kennels.  Bye bye Casper, going to miss you so, so much. ❤️❤️❤️

❤️ UPDATE ❤️  Casper is doing really well, he still won’t tolerate dogs in his space but will walk past dogs without making any fuss, he is a an absolute sweetheart and a joy to walk. Don’t let the fact that he doesn’t like other dogs put you off as it is very easily managed.

Casper is another new boy who has recently found himself in our care and is a small young black staffie type.  Today was his first walk and he loved been out and about.  He enjoyed getting muddy and having a good old sniff at all the new smells.  He loves attention and he will sit and give you his paw for treats and cuddles.

For anyone who thinks staffies are not nice dogs, here’s what RSPCA chief vet has to say, “Staffies have had a terrible press, but this is not of their own making, in fact they’re wonderful dogs. If people think that Staffies have problems, they’re looking at the wrong end of the dog lead! When well cared for and properly trained they can make brilliant companions. Our experience suggests that problems occur when bad owners exploit the Staffie’s desire to please by training them to show aggression.”

New boy Charlie ❤️

❤️ UPDATE ❤️ Charlie boy has gone off to his new home today.  Yipeeeeee.  Good luck Charlie.

Today I got to meet new boy Charlie and he is an absolute delight. ❤️ Charlie has come to us from the stray pound, we think he is a lurcher but may have a bit of saluki in him and is 11 months old.  He is a really calm, friendly boy, he doesn’t pull on the lead, was friendly with dogs we met while we were out and about and is very attentive.  He loves fuss and cuddles and will sit and give you his paw.  Charlie really is a beautiful dog and will make someone a loyal, loving best friend. ❤️

Baby Ranka ❤️

❤️ UPDATE ❤️  Ranka (now known as Luna) went off to her very own forever home today just in time for christmas.  Good luck baby girl.

Ranka is the only puppy left in kennels out of the original six.  All her brothers and sisters have now left for their forever homes leaving poor little Ranka behind.  She is the sweetest little thing and we need to get her into a home asap, kennels is no place for this sweet girl. Ranka is approx sixteen weeks and is an absolute delight. ❤️

Walk with Chester ❤️

Todays walk was with the handsome Chester.  Don’t let the muzzle put you off, this is worn purely for his own good as he doesn’t get along with other dogs.  Chester is a crossbreed of around three years old and is a big softie once you get to know him.  Everyone at kennels loves him and would like nothing more than to see him find his own forever home.  Chester needs a home without any pets or children and needs an experienced dog owner that can show him his boundaries and be able to deal with his dislike for other dogs. ❤️

Walk with Sam ❤️

❤️ UPDATE  ❤️ Unfortunately Sam’s issues have become worse so he has left us today and gone to a sanctuary where they integrate unrehomeable dogs to live together as a pack.  Good luck ‘nana face’, going to miss you.  ❤️

Had a lovely walk with Sam today.  Sam is 12 months old and is a lovely boy once he has got to know you.  He can get very nervous around people/dogs that are unknown to him and this can manifest itself as fear aggression.  Sam needs someone that can work with him through his issues and he will make that special someone a very loyal, loving friend. ❤️
